In June, the Garden Lobby of the Scottish Parliament also played host to Scotland's last Roman legion, Legio VI Victrix of the Antonine Guard, who had organised an exhibition in Holyrood to publicise their activities.
Formed in 1996, the Antonine Guard is a Roman Historical Re-enactment group concentrating on the period of Roman occupation of Scotland in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD.

"Members of the Guard wrote to me last year," said Cathy, "expressing their concerns about the future of the Kinneil Museum.
"I was pleased to meet them and bring them up to date with the latest developments, including the World Heritage site bid and the improved prospects the museum."
